That's my impression. The rewards are great (to a degree) but you give your life to a get a game out, then the next game, then the next, then the next. And then you think: wait a minute...

OTOH - Joe may have enjoyed every minute of it and still decided that he'd also like to do something else.

Or... everybody at Bungie secretly hates everybody else and Joe was backstabbed and kicked out the door by jealous rivals who plotted in the dark. Maybe Bungie is a secret hothouse of bitchiness.

Maybe they can channel all that poison and make a game about backstabbing people, um, backstabbing each other in a post apocalyptic wasteland. A kind of Dark Destiny. That's what I liked about Blake's Seven (they really didn't like each other that much but they had to work together to survive).
