The Prospects of a Save Repository

I'm an avid fan of Halo 1, as some of you may know. Looking around at the website Bad Cyborg (which I frequent), I realized that a lot of people might not have the time or the skill to set up their own saves for such things as, say, the Twin Bridges Megabattle. That got me thinking: is it possible, at least on the PC/Mac side, to share saved games of Halo? If so, could we create a 'Save Repository' where people can upload or download saved games?
