This is a valid criticism of XBL; peer-to-peer doesn't seem to function as well as it could, even being "facilitated" by the XBL hub. No excuses here.

All that to say, I think the value proposition with XBone is high - a $500 device and a $5/mo service (assuming full price) for which I feel I get a lot of fun and entertainment. If you want to forgo curation for freedom and the expense of a modicum of personal effort, that option exists.
