Maybe some will be willing to give 343i another chance on a game. Is that enough that they'll also buy an Xbone to play Halo on? Halo 1 is the sole reason I asked for an oXbox as a kid, and Halo 3 is the sole reason I bought a 360. I have used both of those consoles for plenty of other games, but without the Halo, there wasn't much reason they looked more attractive than anything else.

I no longer feel like I'm in that boat. Unless certain people wind up picking up Halo 5 and saying that 343i both changed course and knocked it out of the park, I have no particular inclination to buy an Xbone over investing in any other gaming device.

Saying that "even dissatisfied customers will buy Halo again" might frequently be true if the only thing at stake was the game. Saying "even dissatisfied customers will buy a $500 console they otherwise don't care about so that they can play Halo" sounds like something 2006 Sony would say. Maybe it's true, but I'm not betting on it.
