The design is not something I am satisfied with, but doing this was for technical growth, as I modeled this in Zbrush it was my first time doing hardsurface work outside of max/maya. I textured it in Substance Painter, each piece of armor is a separate model with texture sizes ranging from 2k to 4k. I then used Vray and Phoenix for rendering and particle effects, there is dust and smoke systems behind the character and 2 explosions in front of the character providing most of the light seen. I used the GGX shader model that Vray has finally implemented and I'm happy with the resulting shader.
