: I'm not a fan of 1v1 montages--it's always on the same map, the player always
: uses the (one) sniper to get ahead by 10 points, and people always line up
: perfectly for a sneaky spawn-stick. However, tonight I'd like to highlight
: two exceptions that shone 1v1's in a positive light, and provide a rare
: entertainment(at least in my opinion).
: The first one is a somewhat recent vid from 2014. THF Ohem's Heatseeker is
: an easy-going, simply edited attention-grabber; with impressively varied
: takedown methods, easily digestible fades and effects, and a classic
: weight room workout music track. Most people use a plasma grenade or a
: sniper camping spot to trap their opponents. This guy here uses, of all
: things, a plasma pistol . Interesting gamble, that's for sure.
: Next, is a 1v1 video clear on the other side of the editing
: spectrum--fast paced, hyperactive, sublime.
: Guilt, with Gameplay by Thomasxp5 and editing by Klima, delivers an
: unforgettable techno-blast of high-speed artistic shots and launches,
: beautiful cinematography, and even flashier edits! Guilt has certainly
: become my favorite 1v1 montage. Check it out!
All I can assume from these two montages is that a 1v1 is less about winning and more about kiling in the flashiest way possible.
