In Response To: NOT Loving Forge! (SEspider)

16) Chris mentioned this already, but I'm going to add it anyway. FORGE SHOULD NEVER BE ONLINE REQUIRED!!. Nothing is more infuriating to a artist then be knee deep in their work only to have it snatched from their hands and pounded into the ground. And this is exactly what the Online requirement does. Oddly enough, Halo has disconnected me from the server more these past two days then it has in the last four months! Only difference is that now I'm working in Forge and not in matchmaking. At least with MM, I can jump right back in. Not the case with Forge. No, with it, I loose all progress since my last save. Lets not forget that Forge has a bad habit of crashing the game after it looses it's connection. Which I'll illustrate later. I'm not a fan of the Cloud System. Never have been. It's useful to have, but it should never be a crutch. And with the Xbone and PS4, it has become just that. And Halo5 seems to rely on it more then other games. But Forge as well? Why???? Why must it be online to save my files? Why must it be online just so I can use it? Why does it crash the game when it looses it's connection? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

17) I don't what the recent hidden update did, but it seems to have screwed something else up. Now, when I leave (or enter) a Forge session, the program automatically groups my duplicates to the original. I created a simple structure, duplicated it, move the duplicate to the map, and then duplicated it again. Each structure was set as their own individual groups. Four total, with the original two structures playing the part of templates for future structures. I saved, and quit Forge. Later, I returned to find they were all grouped together. Thinking I had screwed up, I un-grouped them and then re-grouped them as they should have been. I once again saved and quit Forge just to test it. Sure enough, when I entered the map, they were all grouped together again. This needs to be fixed for it can and will cause a lot of issues. I'm thinking it may be tied to the item's colors. For after I changed the colors of one structure, it repeated the process only with those of the same colors.
Here's a clip to show the issue:

18) After that, I continued with my map. And started to play with the world settings. Mostly the clouds and the wind. I noticed that the wind did not effect the trees at all. No matter how high I set the wind, the trees would not budge. I switched to player mode and even tried rendering the map, so no effect to the trees.

19) While I was testing the world settings, the entire game crashed. Thankfully, I had already saved earlier and did not loose any progress, this time. But with the crash, came a new glitch. And of course, it had to be another bad one. Remember those structures that kept auto-grouping? Yeah, well, now I can't even touch them. Their original template (of different colors) is still intractable. But the gray duplicates can no longer be manipulated at all. I got right up to them and they would not highlight, let me select them, nor show their names. Even the hand icon goes dim. Instead, it selects/highlights items behind it. Here's a clip to show what I'm talking about:

Give me a little more time and I'll list more issues. At this point I'm simply too frustrated with Halo 5's Forge, to keep listing issues.
