Or, ONI has a Snowden problem

Maybe ONI knows they have a leak, and they used Ben to smoke it out?

Maybe there are some who are not so happy that Chief is up and about, such as Del Rio. Maybe, actually, there are some not happy with coexistence with other species. And there are always the lingering issues from pre-covie war that now resurge.

I'm seeing this as ONI smoking moles out and higher ups covering there own asses regarding the S-II program. It wouldn't surprise me if the revelation of the S-II (H2) was not fully sanctioned and something that ONI is still trying to deflect focused attention on.

Let's not forget that Osmin is running the show in ONI. What is her attitude regarding John? Why did P pick her to succeed her as head of ONI? Seems to me that P has a bit of regret regarding the S-IIs, kind of like Halsey, and saw Osmin as the 'bridge' to both protect the S-IIs and ONI.

Or maybe I'm just drunk.
