What Iron Sights and Overhead Missile View?

The video doesn't accurately compare "normal jumping" to that of the auto feature. To do so, would require the player to also be sprinting to make the jumps.
If this auto feature is in the code, then it simply looks like they were testing it. Just because something is in the code, it doesn't automatically mean it was planned for that game. All I see is evidence of them trying out ideas. Nothing more.
