: What's the difference?

Game play vs story, similar to how I feel about Destiny.

It plays fine, has enjoyable mechanics, physics behave in a manner that feels right, movement feels right, gun play feels solid, enemies are somewhat interesting, etc.

Story wise however, it does not stack up to the other Halo titles, in my opinion. It obviously has WAY more of a story than Destiny does, but Destiny gets a slight pass because it is the first game, with no established back story (something that helps and hurts it, depending on who you ask) to where Halo 4 has to dance around previous games, and it doesn't do it very well.

Story wise, it has a few good points and moments, such as Chief's interactions with Cortana towards the end and Tilson, but then falls flat on its face in other areas, like Halsey and the S4's.

From a marketing perspective, Halo 5 will be good, as Halo 4 was good, in the sense that if you stripped away things "Halo" and just had it's frame work it would be like all the other bland, distinguishable AAA shooters that clog the market.

I'm a firm believer that if Halo 4 wasn't called "Halo 4" it would have probably been just as successful, if not MORE successful in the market. I think Halo 5 will follow that same path.

As rabid Halo fans, this displeases us, because we already had shaped our definition of what Halo IS and SHOULD be, and don't like that things are frankly, different, just because they can be.
