Again, my point being that if this is 'new' (chronologically) technology, a new development by today's FR (didact/prometheans/whatever), it may have good reason to be vastly different than FR tech of 100,000 years past. Whatever reason that may be.

So once again:

It may well be that it's a dumb idea being put into H5 because guns!ship!badguys! etc. But until then, my curiosity outweighs my skepticism.
