...had he made it down the grav lift on High Charity a minute earlier to encounter Truth + Tartarus before they left?

I wondered this earlier when playing the level (which is so much better in remastered mode now I can actually see where I'm going).

2 prophets + Tartarus (and his backup) + presumably trying to protect Keyes & Johnson and then add in the arrival of the Flood. Would've made for an interesting battle and one that would've tested Chief to his limits.

I guess Truth + Mercy would've attempted to flee with Tartarus, the Index and Keyes & Johnson, whilst leaving the backup brutes to handle/delay Chief enough to allow them to leave.

What are your thoughts?
