I just wanted to say thank you for creating an awesome fan site. I have been a lurker on the front page (and occasional the forum) nearly everyday since about 2003. This site has provided hundreds of hours of fun and some much-needed distraction from the business of life. I have awed over trick videos, laughed at Stuntmutt's comic, cringed at Mister Chief, and wondered why the heck Louis Wu choose such a name. I've impatiently waited in line at midnight for every Halo since 2004. I've entered the Guilt O Lantern contest twice (Scarab pumpkins, btw).

Bungie and the Halo community gave me a reason to start expressing my creativity. I loved Halo, so why not? I've edited screen shots, wrote my own fan fiction, built my own MC armor, and even tried my hand at video editing.

Halo gave me a reason to be creative. When my parents saw my creativity, they encouraged me to run with it. I soon became interested in marketing, and by the end of high school, I was ready to launch into college. I blew through my community college and two years at a public university. I completed an advertising/PR planning in 3 years instead of 4, while squeezing in two internships, a few dating relationships, Halo Reach, and Halo 4. As of today, I am engaged, a volunteer for a church that focuses on caring for the poor and refugees, an assistant to the owner of a local company, and a freelance PR planner.

I am starting an intense grad school soon and may not get back into Halo things for a while. I just wanted to say thanks to all the Halo fans out there. Your creativity is inspiring, and has inspired me. Without a doubt, I would not be where I am without wasting my time on HBO.
