Makes sense to add more facial features given the amount of detail they've added to everything else. I always wondered how the gravemind was able to enunciate words when its mouth was just a few big flaps.
I also love the new sound effects they added to make it sound even grosser, it seems way more powerful now, more like the freight train of tentacles they intended it to be.
