I really, really liked that article.
In fact, it made me realize that I would LOVE some people to break down the game design differences from Halo 1 - 4, and discuss why aspects were enjoyable, why they weren't, etc. to this kind of detail.
This brings up discussion that has already been brought up -- are the newest Halo games too detailed? If they are, should they be? I liked the reminder of the importance of "white space." In design in so many mediums, perhaps all mediums, that is a vital thing to have.
Just like how it's important to have some of the quiet combat-free moments, for pacing.
