I was very afraid for the Halo franchise when a new studio took the IP, but 343 has proved themselves to me that they are more than capable of handling Halo. I think it's even refreshing, and I feel the franchise may have needed this fresh perspective with a team that has a high amount of fans like us onboard.

As for Bungie, I'm mixed on Destiny. I played about 40-50 minutes of it at a friends, and the game was enjoyable, but it hasn't hooked me. I play games not only for gameplay, but for story/universe. With the exception of a few franchises. I plan on renting it, and if it wins me, I may purchase it.

I am VERY thankful that we now have two high quality studios producing AAA titles, versus one. I hope 343 can revitalize communities like this, I miss the discussions. I'm sure MCC, Halo 5, and these new movies will do just that.
