I have a feeling many people here might be more interested in Guardians of the Galaxy than Boyhood (and I'm kinda the opposite), but regardless it's worth noting that Halo 2 makes an appearance in the latter (for a few seconds anyway).

The film was made over 12 years and chronicles the childhood of a boy who is six when the movie starts in 2002. What makes it noteworthy is that it was filmed with the same actors over that period of time. it's like a time capsule for memories, and especially if you came of age this century, you'll probably enjoy it. It's appropriate that Halo is one of many cultural artifacts that makes an appearance.
