Miranda looked awful, Cortana just looks weird, as a whole everything just felt too dark and gritty. On the flip side, Johnson looked good, Tartarus, Regret, Arbi and Half-Jaw looked good, Chief looked ok.
Some of this is can be, undoubtedly, traced firmly back to the "work in progress" disclaimer. The rest though, I think is solidly because I spent an inordinate amount of time playing and replaying Halo 2's campaign. It didn't just live in my Xbox, it WAS my Xbox. As such, when I hear this dialog, my brain is expecting to see something very specific, and it isn't. That disconnect throws everything for a loop.
I'm looking forward to seeing the final product, but this taste has left me cold. :/
