While both the Mk I and Mk III are presented as exo-suits significantly larger than their operators, I decided to represent the Mk II as a smaller, wearable design. I felt that this would make sense from both a technical and visual perspective. If I had presented the Mk II as an exo-suit similar to the Mk I or Mk III, there would be an enormous disconnect between the Mk I-III exoskeletons and the Mk IV-VI MJOLNIR armor.
As such, I believe it makes sense that at least one of the earlier designs would be more closely related to MJOLNIR. Because of this, my goal was to work up a design that bears similarities to the later Mk IV and Mk V, but looks far more primitive. Unlike the Mk IV and onward which augment the wearer's ability to use firearms, my Mk II is functionally similar to the Mk I as a weapon platform, having weapons and equipment mounted directly to its frame.
Many thanks to The Lionheart for helping me tighten up this design with lore-based critiques.
(Additionally: Hello all! This is my first post here. I'm rather surprised it took me this long to sign up, given how long I've been into Halo.)
