The man's talent is well-established, and I hope that he's able to help VR get off to an even better start.

Personally, I enjoyed seeing his work in Doom 3, Quake 4, and Rage, and I imagine that there are actually quite a few types of interactive experiences that would benefit from his stylistic tastes.

So I wish him the best of luck in this endeavor and hope to see some cool, creepy horror game or something on down the road, something for which VR has tons of potential.
