First off though, I don't think the original brain matters considering the construct chooses an avatar for themselves. Cortana chose a particular feminine identity, which may or may not be because it likely made her feel closer to her mother. In any case, however, her identity was her own. Oppositely, Black-Box opted for expressing no human identity or general appearance, which makes me wonder why other characters addressed BB with masculine pronouns.

Y'know, this universe really needs some more non-binary folks.
