I believe it originated with Dan Chosich and his boys. Then oddworld and I made a slightly different variant which became the de facto FAE.
Lockout. PP start, secondary random. Replace map weapons with covenant weapons (sticky-grenade bias). It's actually a 3-ball oddball gametype, but you don't pick up the ball except to kill. I don't remember the player traits. It's definitely been documented here before, I would think the archives have more info. Its PC name was FAE.
