: Building a Action Sack game/map is a lot like building a map for MP and all
: gametypes. A lot of things to take into account.
It isn't a lot like doing that, it literally IS doing that--so, yeah, the stuff that works fine in custom games when there is a host to explain things and handle situations like broken maps won't work in matchmaking. An experience LIKE Speedrun could maybe work if 343 created a carefully explicit dedicated game type, but even then it is a FFA one-life experience. It already has two strikes against it. Everything that I put forward uses its base game type as it would normally be played--the only slight exception is Warthog Chase, but as long as players are trying to control the hill (as king of the hill is normally played) then the game still works--there's really not a wrong way to play Warthog Chase. There's the intended way, but there's no wrong way.
