: RE Open World for the next Halo: Well, it does seem in line with where a lot
: of games are going, including Destiny. It could be the next best thing if
: done right, or it could be very, very bad. I've enjoyed many games that
: had open world elements, as long as there was a basic linear movement and
: I wasn't spending a lot of time wasting time trying to figure out where
: the heck I'm supposed to go.
: I also don't like chopping down trees for an hour to make a cabin that I can
: upgrade to a shop that I can upgrade to a war machine, that I can upgrade
: to a... whatever if I keep chopping trees. Those games are not for me and
: would DEF turn me off from the series if it went to that extent.
: But Mass Effect, some of the Star Wars and others that had some open world
: elements - - all very fun when done right.
I can imagine an open word Halo playing a lot like Halo 3: ODST, except with more stuff to do in the hub. I'd be all for that.
