Well, the usual want for a demo stems from the fact that you might not like the way a certain game plays for one reason or another.
I doubt that will happen for Oni, but you never know if Bungie somehow goofed & Oni crashes with your CPU, or doesn't work with your monitor. Therefore you'd want to wait to see if they can make it compatible before buying it.
