When I reworte the story I really wanted to have the title actually mean something as opposed to being a 'code name' that stuck.

al_'s answer is pretty close to what I was shooting for, although I never heard of on Oni defined as a demon that disobeyed before. I mostly wanted to play off of the concept of inner demons, both emotional and physical.
