My theory about the Myrmidons not apperaing in Myth II is that Soulblighter couldnt control them, since they "belonged" to Balor.
Perhaps he could have gotten them to join his forces if he invested some time into reawakening them, but he already had the Myrkridia at his desposal and they fulfilled the role of fast elite infantry, so he didnt need to waste time to awaken/summon/call forth the Myrkridia.
