I do this same thing but I continue flying around the corner where the two turrets are. As soon as I get around the corner more enemies appear. I keep flying to the area under the two bridges and I hang around for about 30 seconds until I get a checkpoint. I fly back to the Tower zone and wait until all the enemies walk to the area just around the corner. When the enemies are all bunched up around the corner, I hop out of the Banshee and use my modified Needler and Assault Rifle to torture the enemies.
My modified Needler shoots 7 needles per shot but it takes 10 seconds for the super-combine to work. It's funny watching the enemies running around in terror waiting for the needles to explode. My Assault Rifle shoots homing Plasma Grenades, and I adjusted the Grenades to explode after 10 seconds. Both the Needler super-combine explosion and the Plasma Grenade explosions are adjusted to do half the damage, so the enemies run around screaming, it usually take two super-combine or Plasma Grenade explosions to kill any of the enemies. I should make a video of this.
