: on that planet were tone deaf and bonifide ass hole. In Halo4 she suffered
: mental health issues. In Halo 5 she mocked a character who also faced
: mental health issues (or, at least, had things to deal with). I always
: thought that Cortana had more class than that but she just became cliche
: villain and it's hard for her to come back from that. Is she going to
: claim diminished responsibility? Or, "it wasn't me"?

I don't think they're going to walk back Cortana's actions—as much as some people just want Halo 5 (and maybe Halo 4) to be some dream Chief wakes up from, that's the absolute worst take they could try.

There aren't any weak stories out there, just weak writing. Some people were never going to be on board with Cortana as an antagonist but they really need to follow through with it.
