I mean, they name stuff things that sound cool, or honor someone. We've had "In Amber Clad" and "Pillar of Autumn" and Halcyon and Marathon.

What you want to read into ONI naming a ship class after a mythical guy who attempts to ward off destiny but still ends up hoisted by his own petard, is up to you.
