I think that would frustrate me. I have low tolerance for excessive darkness in a game; any place where I'm having to strain to see things clearly. Also, I just can't believe that Spartans wouldn't have a flashlight as part of their basic equipment.

Oh… so they do have flashlights, but it's just that 343 don't give you any control over them?
