So here's what I read while feeling like a little minion with insufficient ability and time to respond in a worthwhile manner:

You love sciency science-fiction, not fantasy-y science-fiction (which you feel is a contradiction?).
So Halo to you is becoming more the latter, which you don't like.

I don't mind it, as long as it's internally consistent and feasible.
I also love the former.

That's about as far as it goes for me :)
