: It was frustrating as hell, but when we did manage to get our first Customs
: Night in MCC to work, it was really fun. We found exploits, like using the
: Party Chat to stay linked when the game split us, and made it work.
: It was far from perfect and we all let our rage out, but we were still
: playing it, and it brought us together in that mutual frustration. A lot
: of us are still playing it and it's only getting better with each
: update(for the most part.)
: Not everyone could deal with the broken mess that shipped and I don't blame
: them for that.
: I just get tired of the people who've "moved on" coming on HBO
: purely to mock MCC and point out its flaws, just for the sake of their own
: amusement. If I wanted that, I'd be on Halo Waypoint or BNET...
I did try to be patient, but when it came time for my XBL to expire I was basically like "fuck it" and didn't bother renewing it. I did at least stick with customs until then, even if I had effectively abandoned matchmaking for several weeks. But now that the game is mostly fixed and playable, I'm happy. I've of course renewed my XBL and have been playing the MCC a lot lately. And that's all I really wanted. It took them four months, which is four months longer than it should have taken, but better late than never. And while I'm willing to forgive, I will never forget, and 343i should be subject to a vastly higher degree of scrutiny from now on. Of course, there's a difference between valid criticism and trolling, which I think was the point of some of the other posts in this thread.
