I already had both a Wii U and PS4. When the MCC turned out to be broken I honestly felt like I wasted my money at the time. Now, I am the kind of guy who does try to eventually buy every major console (because they all have exclusives worth buying). I was planning on getting an XBO eventually for Halo 5 & 6 and (to a lesser extent) the new Gears of War and possibly also the new Crackdown, but the PS4 was cheaper than the XBO at launch and had more exclusives that interested me. But the MCC moved my plans up. I mean, what old-school Halo fan wasn't excited by it? But with the MCC broken my XBO was just collecting dust. I got sick of dealing with it. I let my XBL expire and focused entirely on the Wii U and PS4. And the XBO is not a good system in and of itself. The UI is terrible and the system is overall just plain not user-friendly. I default to the PS4 for all third-party games.
