Since when, Cody mr.gameplay-is-king Miller, does that have ANYTHING to do with how good a game is, on it's own? The order 1886 looks sweet, yet it got horrible reviews as a game, as a phoned in pilot, that is trying to fart out more sequels? Also Destiny. Destiny looks great, yet it's story is amateur at best.

All of your statements can be boiled down to, "I didn't like this because of [preconceived notion or bias] and couldn't give it enough of a chance" or "This doesn't fit my values of what defines greatness or acceptability" therefore "everything about it is crap".

If you want to say "I don't like WarFrame because aesthetically I hate it so I'm not going to play it" most people will accept that at face value and respect it. I mean, that's why I don't have any desire to play WarFrame myself, It doesn't appeal to me visually, and like food, I first consume with my eyes.

Is that going to stop Korny from shutting the fuck up about what a great game it is? No. But once I say to him, "Yeah on paper it sounds great and they must be doing well with the fans they've got, but I don't like the flavor so I'm going to pass" he'll leave me alone about it.

The whole thing about F2P Halo can be summed up very, very easily:

It isn't targeted at you.

It isn't targeted at the U.S.

It's not trying to convert you, either.

It's trying to enter a new, mostly unregulated market, where the rules we abide do not apply.

It's trying to hook new people, and hope that down the line, maybe, MAYBE they'll spend a few real dollars later, if they like it. If they don't like it for free, they won't pay for it later.

Which is smart, considering how stupid we American are literally pre-order and pay for content that might not ever get finished. But you already know that.
