Answers quite a few questions. Explains that book...Contact Harvest, maybe, that basically confirmed humans were forerunner, and the heavy implication elsewhere. I read that on a bus in Italy and stewed in it for 2 hours while I got to Rome.

I wondered if 343 changed anything in the Halo story bible, and it appears they did. I just thought we had all misread this stuff. I guess I should treat stuff from Reach and after as a separate fiction universe, like Shatner's Star Trek books.
