Is it possible to Xbox controller on the Xbox 360?

I don't want to waste Forum space with another thread so I'm using my current (dead?) thread to as this.

Last year I was one of the Xbox One Avatar winners. For winning, I received a Xbox One controller. But I don't have a Xbox One. It works fine on the PC (for the most part) but I need a new 360 controller. Does anyone know how to get the X1 controller to work on the 360?

I realize it will, most likely, need to be wired to work. I just need some help getting it to work. Any ideas? Cause simply connecting it via USB doesn't seem to work. Thanks
