In Response To: I'm normally against visual clutter (scarab)

: I actually like most of the detailing. I think the overall shape of the model
: is so simple that the detailing doesn't have me wondering what I'm looking
: at. Most of the detailing is just lovely and I also like the engine lights
: and the cargo bay lighting (they are the same thing I suppose).

: I think that strong simple shapes with detailing can work. It's not as if we
: have to spot and shoot the ship in a cluttered environment.

: -PS There are lots of how-to vids that are pretty interesting. Problem is
: that I've never grokked 3D Modeling software. The five cuboid, table, demo
: defeated me :-)

I would like to get into computer modeling (as opposed to the plastic 3D modeling I do). I have self-taught to be able to modify and delete parts of existing models but I'd like to learn it from the ground up.
