Bioware tracked the choices players were making throughout the games, and perhaps the most interesting tidbit they learned was that most players played MaleShep. We're not even talking about a slight majority. 82 percent were playing male characters in Mass Effect 3.
I know, I was surprised too. Apparently, FemShep is popular mostly with the section of BioWare fans who write fanfiction and draw fanart.
So, maybe that's what BioWare's marketing department was seeing.
