This is the best Halo-related news in a long while. I can only hope this is the start of a trend with more characters from pre-343 media being brought back to the spotlight.

The author's enthusiasm for Halo is a big plus too. From what he says he sounds like the opposite of Karen Traviss; ie. does his research meticulously and actually likes the source material.

I hope the focus on Buck doesn't mean sidelining the rest of his crew, though. Would love to see the whole gang back.
