That's how I feel as well.

I liked Reach and ODST because I wasn't super powerful.

I liked that I had to think carefully about how I used cover and managed my armor abilities. I know that the majority of fans hate that, especially AA's(which I loved,) but I thought that it was a nice change of pace that has since been lost and replaced with more mainstream "modernizations" instead of striving to be unique and interesting.
