I've enjoyed being Master Chief Petty Officer Shooty McGrump a lot more under 343 than I ever did with Bungie. Taking from Reach, you feel more and more like a Spartan than just some ordinary Marine with energy shields and the ability to melee. Why shouldn't a Spartan be able to dash quickly across a battlefield or perform some futuristic ability that we could only dream of now? I never really felt like much of a supersoldier before Reach and its foray into abilities. Before then, I was merely a tank with two arms and two legs. It was fun, yeah, and the nostalgia with The Master Chief Collection is great, but I can't play that in something new for however long they decide to keep making Halo games.
