: It's fairly bland. I can easily figure out "Oh, that person is going to

: written at a very basic level with no real interesting shocks... just a
: lot of sci-fi mumbo jumbo that doesn't actually make any sense(ex: the

: rarely-seen CGI enemies who don't really match the lore(Why haven't the
: Covenant utilized Lekgolo worms like this before? They look a lot more

I thought FUD was way better than what we've seen of Nightfall so far. It was limited to a quiet corner of the Halo universe, but from the first episode it absolutely nailed the look and tone and feel. It absolutely belonged in the Halo universe in a way that Nightfall doesn't. Most everything in Nightfall, from the technology ("Scan known universe?" Wha?) to the lore (The miners came from a colony with a hundred-year drought? Where did that come from?) to the characters seem out of place in a Halo story. If it weren't for that Elite in the first episode, I wouldn't recognize it as Halo at all.
