: Makes Halo a dull boy. Seriously, they can find it in the budget to produce
: not one, but two entertainment platforms that remain to be proven, while
: Halo Wars, which was proven to be a success, still lingers on after 5 Long
: Years without a sequel?

This franchise is more than just a "video game series" nowadays and not everyone wants to sit down and have a purely interactive experience. They want to chill and find themselves lost in a universe in the same way they do with Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead. Spielberg's series will undoubtedly have a long run, something that we've yet to see for Halo, while Scott's and Mimica-Gezzan's project is comparable to Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. Series like these something have proven their worth and popularity, and this series might have possibly happened anyways to promote Halo 5, if it won't already.

In any case, I think the gamers in the Halo fandom have been extremely spoiled. In the past five years there have been six games released each year - Halo Wars (2009), ODST (2009), Reach (2010), Anniversary (2011), Halo 4 (2012) and Spartan Assault (2013) - and one or perhaps two on the horizon. Whether they are quality products or not is irrelevant because Microsoft holds gamers like yourself in high regard. Film and television fans, like myself, have only enjoyed two new additions in that same time frame, Legends (2009) and Forward Unto Dawn (2012).

You can chill for a little while. I'm sure Halo 5 will be pretty cool and you can enjoy some awesome shows until it's in your hands! Besides, you have nothing to complain about if you're a not a Star Wars fan. :P
