Ridley Scott is awesome of course, but the director, Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, seems like a steal. He directed some fantastic episodes of Battlestar Galactica, a number of them very military and politically oriented, and is also credited for Saving Private Ryan, Minority Report, Schindler's List, and, well, a bunch of other great stuff.
