I doubt it. Someone somewhere is no doubt annoyed, but cutting him at this point would be much more damaging to the bottom line than any potential leak. Especially a leak about a game that I'd wager most expected was coming anyway. Granted, MS probably has certain timing planned for the reveal, timing which wasn't supposed to start today, but it's not like anyone's shocked that H2A might be a thing. And if it is a thing, 2014 is the obvious time for it, with 10 years having already been established as the anniversary to release Halo Anniversary games on.
I've said this before, but I'm pretty stoked about the possibility. H2 campaign frustrated me at the time but there is a certain nostalgia to playing it now - however, my enjoyment of it is always ruined by that super-annoying ghost image that appears when running it on the 360. Also, the widescreen support isn't very good (stretched reticules and the like). A native 360 (or XBone?) version would fix these little issues and let me just enjoy the game.
I do wonder whether this would be 360, XBone, or both? If I have to pick just one, my gut says 360 simply because there's a much larger install base right now. On the other hand, I'm sure MS would like to nudge people toward an XBone purchase (and I admit I would like to see what they could do with the graphics/sound on that platform). And, weird as it seems to use a 10 year old game to push consoles, there are a LOT of people out there with fond memories of Halo 2.
