: - Plans for the Arbiter and Sangheili are plentiful for both story AND
: gameplay. That seems like a huge nod in the right direction that we'll see
: the Arbiter in the next Halo game, though not confirmed.
I will relish the inclusion of in-game NPC, it's been far too long. Granted, they were a hindrance/poor asset in Reach, but relegating them to dialogue/cameos is far worse. I.e. Stacker on Reclaimer and a guy meant to resemble Johnson in a Shutdown easter egg. I was especially disappointed by Lasky's sudden disappearance on the Mammoth, on the mission Reclaimer. He deloads before the Mammoth even reaches the enemies and just becomes a voice in our heads. There was a Spartan Ops mission called Majestic Rescue but it involved us aiding minor Spartan team rather than Majestic themselves (who could very well appear in-game since they're not player controlled and have unique armor).
I hope they return to Halo 3's NPC death system, where they can die but they get back up if there are no enemies around. It'd be extremely easy/annoying having unkillable teammates that have had their brains wiped to compensate for the advantage of invulnerability.
Complaints aside, I like how Arby's armor isn't quite as monstrous as Jul's forces. Glad they were able to maintain his splendor.
