: change) - but that change happened 3 weeks ago. What broke this
: morning was that the daily offset check didn't get written properly. Not sure
: why; it's correct in the file it was copying FROM - it's just blank in the
: local file.

Don't feel too bad. Apple operating systems still do screwy things around time changes. iOS had a calendar or alarm bug this time, and I remember a few years back where my laptop pegged its processors for exactly an hour during the time change. :)
