The only way to do that was hack them up and personally I didn't like that look.

In my build thread I cover a little bit about what I wanted it to look like, and early on I decided I wanted it to look like it had been fired for long periods, sustained bursts. Like the Brute who wielded it preferred to fill his targets fill of spikes.

The decision to add fake blood was last second, but I'm glad I did it. It makes it look like it was recently used :D
