: Details:

: In the short story "Stomping on the Heels of a Fuss" in Halo:
: Evolutions , Eric Raab described a conflict between multiple Brute clans,
: each represented by individuals with different appearances. Members of one
: clan featured a minimalistic aesthetic, with a lack of grooming that led
: to heavier fur, representing the Brutes from Halo 2, whereas members of
: another clan held to a tidier aesthetic, representing the shaven,
: armor-wearing Brutes from Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST . Similarly, the
: Brutes from Halo Reach , with their alternate physical structures and
: tribal tattoos can be seen as yet another addition to the growing ranks of
: various clans that we've seen within the Halo universe. With future Halo
: installments the list can only grow, but right now there's plenty of room
: for imaginative artists to fill in the gaps with their own creations.
